The ATP is a voluntary body run by psychology teachers for psychology teachers.
It has an annually-elected committee and provides a variety of services for members, including a telephone help-line, help via email, ethics advice for practicals and coursework, a magazine, journals, and economically priced one-day and weekend courses for teachers new to Psychology.
The ATP holds an annual conference, see www.atpconference.org.uk
At the conference there are: lectures, workshops and seminars, meetings with examiners and opportunities to put queries to them and to make useful contacts. It is also great fun and a fantastic, great value for money CPD opportunity.
There is an annual membership subscription, which is currently £25 per annum. A membership application form can be filled in here. Student Psychology teachers can join the ATP for The reduced rate of just £10 for one year, please mark your application form ‘Student’, and quote the institution at which you are studying.
Data Protection
The ATP store data about our members for the purposes of administration only. We will usually only contact you to send you the materials that comprise our membership benefits (for example, magazines), or with information that is relevant to our members (for example, information about conferences, or changes to our membership terms and conditions). On a very occasional basis, we may contact you to remind you to renew your membership, to update our records, for consultation or to evaluate our services to our members. If you prefer not to be contacted for these purposes, please let us know. We will never pass information about you on to other agencies or organisations except where necessary to deliver our services to members.
